In the same vein as the last entry, did anyone get Koda Kumi's newest album? Is it worth it? I always get suckered into buying her stuff and end up sorely disappointed (Best ~second session~ was a joke), but... I was split between the singles this year; some I really liked and some I hated. Which track on 4 hot wave does it reflect the most?

Ah, well. I tried two of the album-only tracks from an mp3 rotation; both were catchy though nothing spectacular (then again, this is Koda Kumi). I might end up picking up the Korean "Normal" version when it becomes available, anyway. I already put a request in for it with iTunes, but I'm not holding my breath.

I don't know much about music, let alone overseas music, but.. I'm guessing it's good? O_O I only know for sure that anything Ayu or Utada will be awesome no matter what :D

Normally I wouldn't say this, but just download it first. If you like it, buy it. If you don't, just delete it. I did that (and added it to my to-buy list) and it is awesome. Well, as good as Kuuchuu can get, lol. My personal favorites are: unmei, Cherry Girl, JUICY, GO WAY!!. I really want to buy it, but only after I take care of my Ayu and Anna wants.

And, yes, the whole BEST ~second session~ thing left me going.... and what is so good about this???

Ah, that's good to hear! Koda Kumi is so hit or miss for me, but I trust your taste. I did sample "Get Up&Move!!" and "Cherry Girl" and thought they were fun. Not stellar, but better than anything on second session (I bought the 3 disc Limited Edition too. whyyyyy?!) This will probably go on my to-buy list after I recover from my A BEST 2 splurge + new Shiina Ringo + Advent Children. I'm still hoping for an iTunes release...

Seriously though! BEST ~second session~ was just like any other mediocre pop album only that stupid promotional campaign made what would normally be fluffy filler tracks singles. I liked the 30 second intro better than any of the other songs. D:

Aha, I definitely agree there. :D Ayu and Utada are winners to be sure.

Hey, I found you're VOX randomly! To be honest, "Black Cherry" is very dissapointing. The only songs I really like are "Koi no Tsubomi" and "Puppy". The rest is quite bad. Having two "WON'T BE LONG" make it even crappier. I don't think it was the year for Kuu. She needs real inspiration. Her music is getting quite boring. She needs more stuff like the "secret" era!

Hi elepop. :) Honestly, I really don't like "koi no tsubomi", so I think we might be looking for different things in Koda Kumi, though I do agree that secret was the best of her original albums.

"Koi no Tsubomi" is not well-appreciated by most Kuu fans! Most find it overrated and too cutesy. I find it quite catchy though. But of course, I prefer her "secret" style. =P What type of songs from Kuu do you prefer?

I still think they should just plain let us have access to every iTunes store on the planet no matter where we're at...iTunes Japan has a lot of awesome stuff laying about...
